When the network consists of many non-attended sites the remote control of the network from a single center is vital task. To solve this problem we suggest special software - network management system FactorNMS (FNMS).
With FNMS system network administrators get a tool which allows network monitoring, troubleshooting and network optimization. Easy to use graphical interface allows you to facilitate the implementation and operation of equipment. Detailed reports allow accurate diagnostics of the network operability. FNMS simplifies the process of operating the network and reduces the total cost of ownership of the network
FNMS consists of a server, polling modules and user application. The user application can be run on any computer connected to the server protocol TCP/IP. Several user applications can be run simultaneously.
The system displays a network map, keeps a log with records of events occurring in the network, generate reports on selected devices, interfaces and events.
Gathering information about the status of devices can be carried out via SNMP protocol when accessing the device via TCP/IP or a special protocol when accessing via E1. It is possible to incorporate into FNMS the other manufacturers’ devices that support SNMP.
